The Greengrocers Daughter is an exciting new venture, imagined and brought to life by Paula & Sharon of Fitzers Catering. The sisters grew up working in their father’s fruit and vegetable shop, “Fitzpatrick’s” on Dublin’s Camden Street. After the sudden and tragic death of their father in 1975 the family carried on running the shop while juggling a busy household. Sharon, the second youngest of the family went on to found Fitzers Catering in the late 1980s and over three decades the business has gone from strength to strength, despite many challenges.

Every year, Sharon has always shown her staff their appreciation by putting together the perfect Christmas gift. From this search, the inspiration for The Greengrocers Daughter took shape, bringing a new dimension to the Irish hamper and luxury gift market.

A word from our founder

‘Each year, in the lead-up to Christmas I was responsible for sourcing Christmas gifts for all of our employees and our clients. I have always disliked the idea of giving people vouchers as gifts and I made it my business to try and find presents for people that were meaningful, sentimental, and that lasted. My aim was to give people something that reminded them of our enormous appreciation we had for them and their contribution towards our business.’
