BOHEMIA, NY — Friends, family, and community members are coming together to mourn the loss of a 26-year-old woman.
Lianna Marie Todaro, 26, of Holtsville, died from injuries last week, after her car was struck by another vehicle in Bohemia, police said.
Close ones have since created a GoFundMe page, to help with the Todaro family with expenses. So far, donors have raised $10,250, out of a goal of $15,000.
“Those who did not know Lianna could easily see her beauty. But those who knew her could see how her inner beauty truly outshined the outer,” the description stated. “She was the kindest, most caring, gentle, radiant soul. She will leave a void that is immeasurable for so many.”
Todaro was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue at about 6:50 a.m. on March 9, police said. She made a left turn to exit a parking lot on Lakeland Avenue north of Church Street, when her vehicle was struck by a northbound 2017 Dodge Ram, police said.
Todaro was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue for treatment of critical injuries before she later died, police said.
No charges have been filed, police said.
